Not to be mistaken with the Burlington Coat Factory, the city of Burlington is located in both Racine and Walworth Counties and has a population of 10,464 residents.
The city of Burlington offers much to do during all months of the year. The Burlington Chamber of Commerce provides a detailed calendar on their website that outlines all of the events happening throughout the city year round. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to attend these events as they are a good way to bring the community together and have fun at the same time. More information can be found here.
There’s also a handful of recurring events that bring guests in from around the state. ChocolateFest is a popular tradition that takes place over Memorial Day every year. This festival celebrate’s the long heritage that Burlington has with the chocolate industry, thanks to the Nestle plant that’s located in the town. The chocolate tent located in the middle of the festival grounds is full of demonstrations and chocolate samples for visitors to try.
Burlington has many different parks across the city that provide tons of recreational opportunities. Many of these parks are located along the Fox River, which runs right through downtown Burlington. The rushing water of the Fox River provides some great views, whether you’re looking at it from dry land or experiencing it first hand from a kayak. The Fox River also provides some great opportunities to catch some fish.
